This book investigates the nonlinear behavior of circular plates under different types of loadings and physical fields, namely, thermal, electrostatic, and mechanical. The approaches used were perturbation and numerical techniques applied on different applications ranging from aerospace to micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). The book should be of value to R&D engineers, researchers, and postgraduate students in Engineering and physics as well.

Waleed F. Faris is currently the Deputy Dean of Office of Corporate Strategy & Quality Assurance in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and also an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He obtained his BSc, MSc, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He has more than 100 scientific publications.
