Beschreibung
The public transportation is a central variable for the economic development process of any country since it ensures the mobility of persons. Given the social-economic importance of this component, the global interest for this field mainly in urban areas is increasingly growing with the expansion of cities. With the amplification of demand, operators of transport networks have to face increasingly difficult traffic conditions. With technological developments, public transportation networks have employed new management tools in order to enhance the quality of service for the passengers. These tools concern the collect and management of information in the network, the prediction of the transportation offer, the generation of theoretical offer, etc. Given the important amount of information in real-time, human regulators have difficulties in performing their daily activities that consist of monitoring and adapting theoretical offer to real operating conditions.
