Beschreibung
This book is a sequel to The Monkey Diary, which Jane Birkin kept from 1957 to 1982. Jane talks about her life after breaking up with Serge Gainsbourg. It included a new love and the birth of a child, the ups and downs of an artistic career, a difficult relationship with their grown older daughters and the joy of their first successes in art, touring and recording discs, participating in theatrical performances, charity concerts in war-torn Yugoslavia, roles in the author's movies, illness, the loss of loved ones, the birth of grandchildren ... When Gainsbourg died, Jane put her talisman with him in the coffin - the plush monkey Monkey, whom she had never parted with before; when her eldest daughter Kate died, Jane closed the diary that she had kept since she was eleven, and did not write a single line in it again.
