Irvin D. Yalom, Ph.D., war Professor für Psychiatrie an der Stanford University School of Medicine. 1974 erhielt er den Edward-Strecker-Preis und 1979 den Foundations-Fund-Preis für Psychiatrie. Abgesehen von psychotherapeutischer Fachliteratur hat er erfolgreiche Romane veröffentlicht ('Und Nietzsche weinte', 'Die rote Couch', 'Die Schopenhauer-Kur'). Irvin Yalom lebt in Palo Alto, Kalifornien. Molyn Leszcz, MD, ist Professor für Psychiatrie an der Universität von Toronto und war 2020-2022 Präsident der American Group Psychotherapy Association. Er lebt in Toronto, Kanada.
