Beschreibung
'Exclusion from the Nation as a Means of Punishment? Rules on the Deprivation of Nationality in the Context of the European Convention on Human Rights': This study deals with the international legal framework that limits states ability to expatriate their nationals. The topic of deprivation of nationality, which is traditionally assigned to the domaine réservé of states, has regained importance in the last decade. The study places a focus on the ECHR and the jurisprudence of the ECtHR, which has possibly opened up a point of access for human rights protection against deprivation of nationality through the concept of 'social identity'.
