Included here are the noirish mysteryThe Sacred Flame, the hilarious satiresThe Circle,The Constant Wife, andOur Betters, and the sharp-witted dramaSheppey. Whether suspenseful or acerbically witty, these plays take a sly look at the idiosyncrasies and hypocrisies of their time.
